I am writing this letter with tears in my eyes and love in my heart. I have rallied, loved, made bold requests, asked tough questions and made the most challenging decision I think I have ever made. At the end of May 2022, Soul Fire Power Yoga will close its doors. The final classes at Soul Fire will be Tuesday, May 31.
Quite frankly, the pandemic has drawn every bit of life from me. I have dug deep in creativity, pulled from pots of energy I didn’t even know I had and given the yoga studio my heart and soul. It deserved it and I wanted to do it. Period. My mental health is suffering, and in the big picture right now, this aligns with looking after myself and my family.
The lease expires at the end of July. I have looked at every option, spoken to my peers, checked my ego, and this is the decision that I feel in my bones is right for me at this moment (my ego really tried to convince me for months that I could keep going). Financially, it doesn’t make sense to sign another lease with ongoing uncertainty and predictions of the pandemic and the impact the last 2 years have had on the studio finances.
The Soul Fire teachers. Woah. These people are the kindest, dreamiest team to be surrounded by and I 100% would not have gotten here without them. Give them hugs and high fives repeatedly. They deserve it.

Please join us in this final month of classes. Our teachers would love to see you & you can share one final sweat with them, whenever that will be. Towards the end of the month, we will put some things in place so you too can celebrate the time you have spent with us.
I am so grateful – words I have said from the depths of my being often since March 2020. I truly mean it when I say this phrase and I hope you receive this gratitude. I am so grateful for the 10 years of being in business at 111 Fourth Ave. The people I have met, shared sweaty hugs with, laughed with, learned from & grown in graceful ways have left an indelible print on my being that will be part of me for eternity. Thank you.

Are you looking to deepen your yoga practice? Can you see yourself teaching in front of a class of eager yogis? Our 200-hour teacher training program will enhance your practice, giving you the confidence to share your yoga journey with others.




Our signature class follows the Journey Into Power sequence. JIP is an invigorating, challenging & flowing style of yoga. You will sweat, be rinsed and encouraged to get curious about your practice. These all-levels Baptiste Power Yoga classes are in our heated room.


Our classic Soul Fire Power yoga class with energizing music. The playlists are designed to uplift and invigorate you, support your practice and generate energy from Om to Om. This is an all-levels Baptiste Power yoga class in our heated room.


COVID-19 caused SFPY to pivot and recreate how we offer classes. Virtual online classes were created and remain on the schedule. Check the online schedule for Virtual Class options.


A slower paced Journey Into Power class where you will hold poses for longer periods of time, allowing for deep release of tension and stress. These all-levels classes are ideal for runners, cyclists, and professional sitters. This is Baptiste Power yoga class is 60 or 75 minutes in length, check schedule for heated or unheated options.


Hot Hatha is a series of dynamic postures and breathing exercises specifically designed to be practiced in the heat. This class is intended to open, strengthen and detoxify the entire body. Each class you will find something a little different, but also something similar to help you move to your fullest potential.
An accessible, challenging, hatha yoga sequence linked with breath. Great for beginners and experienced students.


Yin Yoga focuses on slow and gentle deep tissue stress, compression and release in order to strengthen joints and the spine. Poses are mat based and held for 3-4 minutes to achieve the best results. Yin is an all levels class in the unheated room. Please wear layered clothing for comfort.

Sound Bath: Music & Meditation Event

A sound bath is created from therapeutic instruments, singing bowls, & a gong. You will lay down on your mat and experience the healing sounds as they wash over you in a deep, relaxed state. Invert Yo’self! Learn the foundation and key points of getting upside down safely. Handstand, leapfrog, classical headstand & forearm stand will be the focus of this workshop.
